Generation Me the Musical is a story centered around a 15 year old boy named Milo. His friends and familiy notice changes in him and they choose to describe his moods and behavior by saying "It's Milo... that's what he does." The musical begins with a devastating loss at a high school and continues with flashbacks of happier times but also shares universal teen struggles and the signs that we all can miss. Parents, family members and educators have expressed how important this show is and it has opened up a necessary dialogue with them and the teens in their lives.
Generation Me, written by Julie Soto, Ryan Warren and Will Finan, was produced and workshopped in Sacramento, CA in March 2013. The following year it premiered in Folsom, CA, and participated in the 2014 Hollywood Fringe Festival and the 2014 New York International Fringe Festival.
After taking some time for rewrites and recasting a new generation of actors, Gen Me was workshopped again in March, 2016 and returned to Hollywood for a 4 week production in September and October 2016.
Audiences are embracing this beautiful show and all agree that everyone needs to hear Milo's story.
We are excited for the future of Generation Me the Musical!
